The Edge B&B is set in an indigenous garden adjoining the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve (approximately 25 km from Durban).  Accommodation is in a comfortable cottage with private deck and spectacular views over the cliffs, grasslands and forests of the pristine Kloof Gorge. The varied local habitats support a wealth of biodiversity. Over 140 bird species have been recorded on the property and many more are to be found along the scenic hiking trails, and at rock climbing locations within the Reserve. Eagles (including Martial, Crowned and Wahlbergs) are prominent and can provide stunning aerial displays. Mammal species, which can sometimes be viewed from the deck, include bushbuck, monkeys, dassies, porcupines, mongooses (three varieties) and genets. The area adjacent to the cottage supports a patch of rare Protea Grassland. You don’t have to be a nature lover to appreciate The Edge. Its peaceful location and comfortable infrastructure provide a welcome refuge for all manner of travellers. At the same time the varied amenities of Kloof, Hillcrest and Pinetown are surprisingly close at hand.
